About the Association

Staff

The people who administer the association day to day — certification and examinations, member support, the consultant helpdesk, and the public complaint process.

What the association's staff handles

The association is administered by a small team. Rather than list titles, it is more useful to say what the office actually does:

  • Certification and examinations. Enrollment, exam administration, issuing and verifying credentials, and processing renewals and recertification.
  • Member support. Access to course materials, account and billing questions, and directory listings.
  • The Consultant Helpdesk. Substantive assistance for members working difficult client files — disputes that have stalled, furnisher responses that don't add up, questions about where a compliance line falls.
  • Standards and complaints. Administering the Code of Ethics alongside the Ethics Committee, and handling concerns raised through the complaint process.
  • Curriculum. Keeping course materials current as the FCRA, FDCPA, TSR, and state requirements change.

Reaching us

Members should use the helpdesk in the member portal for anything relating to coursework, exams, or a client file — it reaches the right person fastest and keeps a record attached to your account.

For anything else, call 1-877-222-2052 or use our contact page. Consumers with a concern about a certified consultant should use the complaint process.
